Landscape Edging Edmonton │ Aluminum, Rubber, No Dig & Flexible

To keep mulch contained and stop grass from creeping into flower beds, we carry four types of landscape edging in Edmonton: aluminum, rubber, no dig plastic, and flexible plastic strip. Each has a different install method and different strengths.

Aluminum is our heaviest gauge option and anchors with metal stakes for permanent installs. The EcoEdge rubber option is made from 100% recycled rubber and works well on curved beds. Its L-shape design lets you run a lawnmower along the base without needing to edge-trim. The No Dig 40′ plastic strip installs without a trench, using plastic spikes pushed straight into the ground. The Flexible 20′ Strip is high-density polyethylene, works for straight lines or curves, and is the cheapest per foot in the lineup.

The types

About the Aluminum XS

Available in silver or painted black finish, 8′ lengths. The 4-inch height gives depth for a proper trenched install. The keyhole interlocking system connects multiple 8′ lengths for a continuous run of any length. Metal nails and stakes are sold separately so you can order the number you need for your project.

About the Rubber EcoEdge

Available in brown or black, 4′ sections. Made from 100% recycled rubber. Comes with plastic spikes and connection dowels for the install. The L-shape design lets you run a lawnmower along the base without needing to edge-trim. Flexes for curved beds and no digging is required. 10-year colour guarantee. Brown blends with natural mulch and bark, black disappears against dark soil once installed.

About the No Dig 40′

Installs in a fraction of the time compared to trenched edging. The 40′ continuous length reduces the number of joints in a full-yard run. Plastic spikes included. Available as a single 40′ piece or as a box of three 40′ pieces (120 feet total) for larger jobs.

About the Flexible 20′ Strip

Made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, solid black. Flexes for both straight lines and curves. The angled bottom gives it extra stability against frost heave, which matters for Alberta soil movement through winter. Works for garden bed borders, rock beds, flower beds, and pathway edges. The 20′ strip comes with a connector so you can join multiple strips into a continuous border. The cheapest per-foot option in the landscape edging lineup.

The rubber edging and no dig edging come with plastic spikes included (rubber also includes connection dowels). The aluminum lawn edging anchors with metal stakes, sold separately. Straight and 90-degree connectors are available for the flexible edging strips. Ask at the counter when you pick up your edging.
