Landscape fabric goes down first when you’re installing anything on top of soil that needs to stay weed-free. It goes under rock, mulch, pavers, and gravel paths. All of these installations last longer with fabric underneath. The fabric lets water and air through to the soil while blocking sunlight to weed seeds below.
Our mitrFAB landscape fabric comes in two grades. Gold is a 5.6 oz woven cloth built for long-term installations under rock and gravel. The heavier weight resists puncturing under sharp edges and holds up under foot traffic. Silver is a 4.7 oz woven cloth. Use it under mulch, in garden beds, or for shorter-term projects where the extra weight isn’t needed. Both grades let water through and hold up against tearing during install.

Pickup or delivery
Drive into our West Edmonton yard to pick up. We also deliver across Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, and Spruce Grove. Fabric rolls fit easily in most trucks and SUVs.
Common uses
- Under decorative rock: Prevents rock from sinking into soil and stops weeds from growing up through it.
- Under mulch: Extends how long a mulch layer stays weed-free. Fewer refresh cycles.
- Garden beds: Roll it out between rows and cut openings for your plants. The rest of the soil stays covered against weeds.
- Pathways and pavers: Base layer under gravel or paver installations to prevent weed growth in joints.

Choose a width to match your project:
- 3ft rolls: Narrow garden strips, small pathway edges
